About the position

The Technical Training & Project Lead is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of PEAK work force training programs. Ensuring the production team is equipped with the skills and knowledge to be successful in their roles. This role will provide oversight for and upkeep of production specific policies, procedures, and resources. Support leadership team in all continuous improvement activities on a global level.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure trainings (in person & eLearning platforms) opportunities exist and are completed by PEAK staff.
  • Generate communication back to PEAK leadership to create accountability when staff are not in compliance nor complete trainings in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and report compliance for SOP sign offs.
  • Support and guide managers and subject matter experts in their delivery and implementation of live trainings and events.
  • Work with URUS People to ensure timely and accurate reporting to Leadership of LMS (learning management system) records occur.
  • Be responsible for leading Marketing & Communications for PEAK.
  • Directly lead PEAK Marketing & Communications Coordinator.
  • Provide appropriate coaching and execute performance management for PEAK Marketing & Communications Coordinator.
  • Ensure activities for marketing and communications are aligned with PEAK annual plans.
  • Plan and develop eLearning courses or in-person trainings designed to educate and inform PEAK employees about production specific procedures, job functions, safety, etc., necessary to complete their job functions properly and safely.
  • Coordinate and gather information from subject matter experts within the PEAK team and outside industry experts.
  • Develop eLearning Courses based on the requests of respective departments and subject matter experts’ availability.
  • Assist as needed with TQM projects.
  • Responsible for formatting and maintaining documentation of all procedures, policies, and practices specific to production.
  • Confirm, document, and routinely update production policies and procedures in company manuals and handbooks.
  • Format, and align written procedural documents, including, but not limited to, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process descriptions, work instructions, policies, workstation references, and other resource materials specific to production.
  • Lead a successful PEAK Internship Program annually.
  • Organize and assist with recruitment and interview process leading to onboarding a successful slate of Interns.
  • Ensure Interns have a positive experience by identifying appropriate mentors and projects for their 12-week experience.
  • Arrange a PEAK Intern Orientation to create networking opportunities between Interns and members of the PEAK team, as well as foster a better understanding of the PEAK organization.
  • Execute a survey to benchmark our internship experience.
  • Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal, Dairy, or Agricultural science or Agricultural Communications.
  • 2 + years of technical training or similar experience.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office fluency.
  • Great communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Motivated and able to influence others.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in work.
  • Willingness to develop and grow both personally and professionally.

Nice-to-haves

  • Comfortable operating recording equipment (camera, video camera) and utilizing editing software (Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Experience training.
  • Familiarity with audit processes.
