Optum WA, (formerly The Everett Clinic) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Pediatric Physician Assistant to provide high quality, patient centered care to infants, children, and adolescents in an outpatient clinic setting in Everett, WA. Requirements

  • Active and unencumbered NP or PA Washington State License or ability to obtain by start date.
  • Active national NP or PA certification, or eligibility to obtain certification in Washington by start date. NP certification must be through PNCB, ANCC, or an equivalent body. PA certification must be through NCCPA.
  • Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric primary care experience
  • Experience working in a team based or value based care model
  • Strong communication and family engagement skills
  • Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pediatric care including well child visits, sick visits, and chronic disease management
  • Perform physical exams, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests in accordance with Washington State scope of practice
  • Monitor growth, development, and behavioral milestones
  • Educate patients and families on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans
  • Coordinate care with pediatricians, specialists, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical best practices
