Ensures confidentiality to our customers by creating and maintaining a secure and trusting environment; maintains HIPAA compliance. Provides exceptional care to patients and families to fulfill our patient experience promise. Regularly performs RN duties and maintains own patient care competencies as determined by position scope of practice. Notifies provider of any patient needing immediate assistance. Administers medications; performs point of care testing according to established policies; collects and labels specimens per policy; performs procedures as appropriate; documents accurately in chart; assists with narcotic counts; stock supplies to maintain efficient clinic flow. May delegate clinical tasks as appropriate. Performs clinical assessments within scope of practice, including triage. Effectively prioritizes and categorizes patients based on needs and acuity. Ability to work daytime, evenings, weekend, and holiday hours. Electronic Health Record proficiency preferred. Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills necessary to work independently in a fast paced multi-functioned department. Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to assist patients, parents, and providers, and other staff. Analytical skills are necessary to assess complex patient conditions effectively. Requires the ability to synthesize multiple sources of information to assist in patient care. Required flexibility in order to prioritize efforts to meet needs of the patients, parents, providers, and other staff. During periods of high volume, additional shifts may be required. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification A license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required. Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse. Experience Two years experience in a primary care or urgent care setting preferred. Experience with pediatric patients preferred.
