Corewell Health Southwestern Medical – Niles, qualifies for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program. Award recipients, selected through the program’s application process, may receive up to $100,000 for three years of full-time service! Expected volume of 20-40 patients per day once established. Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday 8:00am - 2:00pm Epic electronic health records. Point-of-Care testing available onsite. LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
Or LIC-Physician (MD) - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
CRT-DEA Registration - STATE_MI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association 90 Days required
CRT-Pediatric Adv Life Support (PALS) - AHA American Heart Association 120 Days recommended

Responsibilities

Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
Provides oversight of Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners and others providing delegated services to patients.
Evaluates patients''/ parents':/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.
Acts as a patient / family advocate.
Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development / application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities.
Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
