About The Position

This opportunity is with a well-established regional healthcare organization serving communities across North Central Idaho and surrounding areas. The organization operates a full-service acute care hospital and provides comprehensive medical services through a network of primary care and specialty providers. The hospital is a 145-bed general acute care facility and a major regional referral center with a Level III Trauma Center . With more than 100 board-certified physicians and advanced practice providers across primary care and specialty disciplines, the organization is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative clinical environment. The pediatric department is well supported with experienced physicians, nursing staff, medical assistants, and administrative personnel, providing a stable and efficient outpatient care setting. The organization is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Pediatrician to join its well-established outpatient pediatric clinic in Idaho. This opportunity is available due to the planned retirement of a long-standing pediatrician in late 2027 , allowing for a smooth transition into an established patient panel and respected practice. The role focuses on providing comprehensive pediatric care in an outpatient setting with a collaborative team of pediatricians and experienced support staff. Requirements

  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
  • Eligible for Idaho medical licensure and DEA with full prescriptive authority

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents
  • Conduct routine well-child visits, preventive care, and management of acute and chronic pediatric conditions
  • Manage an average patient volume of 25–30 patients per day
  • Participate in a 1:6 call rotation
  • Collaborate with a team of pediatricians, nursing staff, and medical assistants to ensure coordinated patient care
  • Educate patients and families regarding child health, development, vaccinations, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Participate in quality initiatives and team-based care programs
