About The Position

RiseWell Community Services is seeking a Full-time Peer Specialist to join the ACT Team in Medford, NY. As a Peer Specialist, you will provide direct services and peer support with a focus on recovery in a community based, multi-disciplinary team for adults with Severe Mental Illness and Substance Abuse. The world does not run out of people to help…and we need people like YOU to help us make a positive change in the community!

Requirements

Lived experience relevant to client population
Current NYS license as a Peer Specialist and/or Youth Peer Advocate
A valid and clean NY State driver license
Minimum 1 years of experience in a treatment or rehabilitation setting
Fingerprinting, criminal record check, approval from NYS Office of Mental Health
