What are we looking for in a Peer Support Counselor? Peer Support Counselors supports our collaborative behavioral health project with Camp Hope, a low-barrier emergency homeless shelter for adults and families. Peer Support Counselors Assists clients in exercising control over their lives and recovery process by promoting socialization, self-advocacy, development of natural supports and maintenance of community living skills. Shares own life experiences with clients as a supportive service. As part of this process, Peer Support Counselors will participate in scheduled and routine activities to assist clients in developing the skills and confidence to exercise control over their own lives. The schedule for this position is Wednesday-Sunday 2pm-11pm. This is a grant-funded position expected to continue through September 2027.
