About The Position

The Human Services Program Consultant I serves as a critical incident peer support specialist with primary shared responsibility for program development, coordination, implementation, quality assurance, and compliance with internal Standard Operating Procedures. This position provides advocacy and consultative services to identify and respond to the wellness and peer support needs of DAC staff. The position provides non-clinical counseling and serves as coordinator/liaison between stakeholders, internal and external to the agency. The position is responsible for ongoing formative assessment to develop and revise responsive programs for DAC staff that are consistent with best practices in peer support and critical incident stress management. The position shares accountability for the design and implementation of wellness training for DAC staff and professional development training for embedded peer support team members, stakeholders, and/or SHIELD clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in a discipline relative to the program from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of related experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in a discipline relative to the program area from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of related experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to use research and technical writing skills to design, plan, implement and evaluate wellness programs and quality assurance protocols.
  • Ability to research, analyze and interpret State and Federal laws and formulate these laws into policies and procedures related to the program area.
  • Ability to design and present training.
  • This position is a non-certified field based position with required frequent travel throughout the state.
  • OC certification is not required but is optional.
