About The Position
Position: Peer Support Program: Eddy Center Location: Middletown Salary: $20.00/hour Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 2nd shift, Sunday and Monday (2:30-10:30p) & 1st shift, Thursday & Friday, Saturday (8-4p) Program Summary: The Eddy Center is a residential housing program that provides individualized treatment services, substance use and mental health education, and job preparation to adult males who are under DOC's supervision so they can successfully re-enter their communities and avoid re-offending. Position Summary: The Peer-Support Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety, health, and wellness. This position also assists program staff. The ideal candidate will establish, develop, and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe, harm-free environment for all residents. Working within Adult Services, the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate, educate, and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community. Regular and predictable attendance is required for this position.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Certification as a Peer-Support or a willingness to become certified
- Valid driver’s license
- Regular and predictable attendance is required
