Requirements

  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing, or food-processing environment
  • Familiarity with GMPs, HACCP, and quality/safety compliance standards
  • Ability to operate or learn various production equipment and tools
  • Strong attention to detail when measuring, blending, or monitoring materials
  • Comfortable monitoring and interpreting data such as temperatures, pressures, and product measurements
  • Ability to safely assemble, disassemble, clean, sanitize, and sterilize equipment
  • Strong reliability with consistent attendance and safety participation
  • Ability to follow written procedures, batch tickets, SOPs, and documentation requirements
  • Capability to move raw materials, equipment, and finished products throughout the plant

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with ISO 9001 or FSSC 22000 environments
  • Strong mechanical aptitude or experience performing equipment adjustments
  • Experience operating forklifts or other industrial equipment

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to quality systems including ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, Food Safety, and all IFF quality procedures
  • Supervise employees on an assigned shift to ensure the work is completed within established timing, quality, and cost standards.
  • Operate a wide range of production equipment such as batch tanks, freezers, pelletizers, forklifts, packaging equipment, and CIP/COP systems
  • Monitor production processes by checking oxygen levels, temperature, pressure, pH, weights, and volumes, and record all required data
  • Follow SOPs and Work Instructions to make production adjustments, add raw materials, and move products throughout the process
  • Identify abnormal conditions and notify appropriate personnel; make corrections when within training and operating parameters
  • Maintain accurate logs for equipment, production processes, maintenance, and routine cleaning
  • Perform routine mechanical adjustments and preventative maintenance; escalate major repair needs appropriate
