About The Position

The People & Culture Coordinator supports the People & Culture Department in delivering efficient, compliant, and people-focused operations across the organization. This role is responsible for a blend of administrative, operational, and employee-facing responsibilities related to staffing, onboarding, recordkeeping, employee documentation, compensation, benefits, and culture initiatives. The coordinator plays a key role in supporting leaders and associates while helping foster Seagate’s culture and reputation as an employer of choice.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Must have a clean and valid Florida Driver’s License and be willing to drive as part of the duties.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed.
  • Natural interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid conflict resolution skillsets.
  • Strong detail-oriented, multi-tasker with a resourceful mindset.
  • Will be required to drive to complete tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Must be able to navigate office environment, including stairs, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • A plus if the degree is in Human Resources.
  • Additional HR training or experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ADP a plus.
  • Knowledge of HR federal laws and regulations a plus.
  • Hotel experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and executing personnel procedures and policies, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations.
  • Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements.
  • Responsible for administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs.
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve employee experience.
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR state and federal regulations and applicable employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as required.
  • Help to build the Seagate culture and a best place to work to create a reputation as an employer of choice.
  • Assist in preparing paperwork, scheduling, and facilitating smooth new hire onboarding process in coordinating with cross-functional positions.
  • Record keeping, including for training programs.
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to the leadership teams and employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Be the primary backup for recruiting and international program responsibilities and processing, including assisting with payroll matters such as weekly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes.
  • Support the recruitment position, international program positions, and all other positions under the human resources team.
  • Create communications and updates to all employees (i.e., bulletin boards, emails, memos, media, etc.).
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contribute to the development of policies.
  • Develop a strong employee experience and enhancements (i.e., calendars, programs, national day experiences, etc.).
  • All other related duties as assigned.
