About The Position

CXG is a growing professional services firm operating in the financial services and compliance space. We support regulated firms nationwide and pride ourselves on being practical, professional, and people-first. While much of our team works remotely, we are intentionally rebuilding an in-office presence in Smithtown, NY and are looking for someone who enjoys being part of that energy. We are seeking an organized, personable People Operations & Office Manager to be the day-to-day glue of our organization. This role is ideal for someone early-to-mid in their career who enjoys keeping things running smoothly, supporting people, and learning how internal operations work in a growing company. This is an operations-first role . While you do not need deep HR or labor law experience — we will teach the right person our processes, systems, and expectations over time, HR background is preferred. You will be a key point of contact for employees, a welcoming presence in the office, and a trusted support partner to leadership. You will play a meaningful role in shaping how our team works together, how new and current employees experience CXG, and how our office environment feels day to day. Requirements

  • Has 2–5 years of experience in office operations, administrative support, HR or coordination roles
  • Is highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Has strong communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor
  • Enjoys being the go-to person others rely on
  • Is comfortable working in-office on a hybrid schedule
  • Is eager to learn people operations and grow with the company
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite required.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics for employees
  • Maintain employee records and internal documentation
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee questions and requests
  • Assist with benefits enrollment logistics and employee communications
  • Support compensation, payroll coordination, and compliance-related paperwork (in partnership with Finance and leadership)
  • Assist with performance management processes and internal tracking
  • Support basic people operations processes as the company grows (training provided)
  • Post open roles and manage incoming applications
  • Coordinate interviews and candidate communications
  • Support hiring managers with scheduling and logistics
  • Be a consistent, friendly presence in the Smithtown office
  • Keep the office organized, functional, and welcoming
  • Assist with scheduling, internal coordination, and light administrative tasks
  • Help create structure and rhythm as in-office collaboration increases
