Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or governmental unit
Radiation Control license as a CT Technologist in Massachusetts
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
CPR certification
3+ years of experience in CT Technology

Nice To Haves

American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty
Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems requiring the use of basic technical principles plus in-depth, experienced-based knowledge
Good communication skills in order to explain instructions and procedures to patients, visitors and employees, to comfort patients and their families and to conduct formal classroom training programs

Responsibilities

Perform routine and advanced CT procedures using appropriate protocols to aid physicians in the diagnosis of disease
Provide compassionate, patient centered care and clear procedure explanations
Start IVs and administer contrast safely; monitor patients throughout exams
Optimize image quality using ALARA principles and perform basic post processing
Verify orders, document in Epic and ensure timely PACS uploads
Support STAT and urgent add on cases
Follow radiation safety, infection control, and Optum policies
Maintain room readiness and assist with equipment troubleshooting
Perform duties of radiologic technologists as required
