Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or governmental unit
  • Radiation Control license as a CT Technologist in Massachusetts
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • CPR certification
  • 3+ years of experience in CT Technology

Nice To Haves

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex technical problems requiring the use of basic technical principles plus in-depth, experienced-based knowledge
  • Good communication skills in order to explain instructions and procedures to patients, visitors and employees, to comfort patients and their families and to conduct formal classroom training programs

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and advanced CT procedures using appropriate protocols to aid physicians in the diagnosis of disease
  • Provide compassionate, patient centered care and clear procedure explanations
  • Start IVs and administer contrast safely; monitor patients throughout exams
  • Optimize image quality using ALARA principles and perform basic post processing
  • Verify orders, document in Epic and ensure timely PACS uploads
  • Support STAT and urgent add on cases
  • Follow radiation safety, infection control, and Optum policies
  • Maintain room readiness and assist with equipment troubleshooting
  • Perform duties of radiologic technologists as required
