Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing, or higher (ASN)
- Texas RN license
- Valid and current Texas RN license
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- 2+ years of experience as a RN in Operating Room
- Single service line experience
- Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- RN experience in Pre-Op, Pre-Admission Testing (PAT), Emergency Room (ER), Infusion Therapy, Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) or hospital setting
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a proficiency in delivering high-quality age-specific patient care
- Develop effective working relationships with all members of the ASC and Clinic
- Communicates information effectively, appropriately, and with courtesy regarding patient conditions to those who require the information, including physicians, anesthesia, management, staff, patients, families, and visitors
- Perform safe and competent operative nursing care in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures
- Perform safe and competent operating room nursing care according to the organization’s policy & procedures & AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) standards and or ASPAN (American Society of Peri Anesthesia Nursing) standards
