To work effectively with Staff, Students and Parents to organize and implement a successful program. Position Specific Information (if Applicable): Battery Instructor (Lead): -Teach and coordinate the Battery -Work with the Front Ensemble Instructor to facilitate the success of the percussion section as a whole -Make any necessary changes to music for the Battery -Facilitate Battery Auditions, held on the following dates: - April 13 3:30-5:30 PM - April 15 3:30-5:30 PM - April 16 3:30-5:30 PM -Rehearse Battery students in 3 weeks of band camp (dates below) - Week 1: June 8-June 12 8:00 AM-5:00 PM - Week 2: July 6-July 10 8:00 AM-5:00 PM - Week 3: August 3-August 7 8:00 AM-5:00 PM -Rehearse Battery for Regular Season Marching Rehearsals beginning August 10 and ending October 22. Rehearsals will be on the following days/times: - Mondays: 3:30-5:30 PM (Visual Focus) - Tuesdays: 3:30-5:30 PM (Percussion Ensemble) - Thursdays: 3:30-6:30 PM (Full Ensemble) -Assist with logistics of transportation of percussion equipment on and off the field -Assist in the recruitment and team-building of current and future percussion sections -Perform other related duties as assigned or requested -Either perform or facilitate the regular cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs of all percussion equipment
