About The Position

Ambulatory Anesthesia Care has created a safe, effective, and financially viable office-based anesthesia model that has been replicated throughout the country. We are proud to be setting up our office-based anesthesia in Abilene, TX. We are looking for skilled and talented pre/intra/post-op Perianesthesia RNs to join our office-based anesthesia practice to service our office-based anesthesia facilities in Abilene. 2nd & 4th weeks: Monday and Wednesday 1st & 3rd weeks: Monday and Tuesday If you enjoy working alongside an anesthesia and surgical team and setting the example in delivering safe and quality patient care – this position is for you! All nursing care is conveniently provided during standard surgeon business hours, Monday through Friday - with no evenings, Sundays, or holidays! Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish-speaking, are highly encouraged to apply. The Perianesthesia nurse will be responsible for the pre-operative assessment and care of the patient, including intra-operative care and post-operative/recovery care. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the pharmacy and supplies, safely handling all equipment, and participating in quality performance improvement activities. From time to time, we may have you assist with completing pre-operative patient assessments via our secure patient portal. What is office-based anesthesia? Our clinical model provides the surgeon or dentist with an anesthesia provider, perianesthesia RN, and all of the anesthesia-related medications, supplies, and equipment directly to the client on the day of their scheduled procedures. Requirements

  • Graduate degree from an accredited RN program with active RN licensure in the state of TX
  • A minimum of 3 years or ER/ICU critical care or PACU experience
  • BLS and ACLS certification is required, PALS certificate is preferred
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to drive to client locations
