About The Position
North Central Surgical Center is currently seeking a Full-Time PeriOp Tech/Retractor Holder in our Main Operating Room. Under the supervision of Surgical Services Leadership, the Retractor Holder is responsible for: Primary Responsibilities: Under supervision, holds retractors in the operative suite. Provides transportation of patients to and from surgery. Insures relevant cleaning measures for the control and prevention of infection. Includes cleaning, disinfecting, and disposal of soiled linen and solid waste Assist with room turnover and preparation for following procedures in a timely manner. Collect and properly dispose of all wastes including biohazardous materials Assists with limited patient care in the operating, recovery, and procedure rooms as needed, specified, and directed under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
Responsibilities
