About The Position

We are looking for a Personal Concierge who is committed to the elevated standards expected at our Forbes 5-Star hotel. This role involves not only performing traditional concierge duties but also engaging proactively with guests as part of our exclusive Personal Concierge Program . You will be reaching out to guests before their stay to gather information about their preferences and needs. With this personalized information, you will create bespoke itineraries and offer tailored recommendations, ensuring that every guest’s experience is seamlessly curated. As a Personal Concierge, you will be responsible for assisting guests with a variety of requests, offering personalized and tailored recommendations, and ensuring every detail of their experience exceeds expectations.

Requirements

  • Prior experience as a Concierge in New York City is required, ideally within a prestigious luxury hotel.
  • A proven ability to provide exceptional, personalized service to VIPs and high-profile guests.
  • Expertise in researching guests' preferences and crafting customized itineraries based on their individual needs and desires.
  • Extensive knowledge of the local area, including luxury dining, exclusive events, and unique experiences.
  • A commitment to delivering service that meets and exceeds Forbes 5-Star standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with guests.
  • A proactive approach, anticipating guest needs and delivering anticipatory service.

Responsibilities

  • Providing expert information, personalized recommendations, and making bookings for guest inquiries including but not limited to, directions, hotel services, transportation, travel arrangements, and dining reservations.
  • Assisting with VIP guest check-in and ensuring that their needs are met with discretion and precision.
  • Crafting bespoke itineraries based on personalized guest information and preferences collected prior to their stay.
  • Proactively offering exclusive opportunities, including booking tickets for events and arranging unique experiences, tailored to the guest’s interests.
  • Responding to special requests, including arrangements for medical services, childcare, and personalized gifts.
  • Assisting in promoting Waldorf Astoria's marketing programs and distributing materials as needed.
