About The Position

Ever thought about becoming a Personal Trainer but weren’t sure where to start? Defined Fitness created the Certified Personal Training Fast Track Program to turn potential into profession. This structured development pathway is designed for motivated individuals who are ready to grow their coaching skills, deepen their knowledge of movement and fitness, and build a long term career helping others achieve their goals. As a Personal Trainer entering through the Fast Track Program, you will develop the foundation needed to succeed in the fitness industry through guided education, real world coaching experience, and mentorship from experienced leaders. Whether you bring a strong academic background in exercise science, hands on gym floor experience, or simply the drive to grow, this role provides a clear pathway toward becoming a nationally certified Personal Trainer within Defined Fitness. Throughout the program, you will participate in structured learning, practice coaching techniques, support member engagement, and progressively build the skills required to transition into a fully certified Personal Trainer role. Requirements

  • Must have a nationally recognized personal training certification from a Defined Fitness accepted provider: NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NCSF, NCCPT, NESTA, NETA, NFPT, IFPA, PTA Global, ISSA
  • Ability to perform exercises and movements as demonstrations for members
  • Self-motivated/competitive, ‘driver’ personality required
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office and various other products
  • Must have a valid CPR/AED certification, including infant and child, on your first day of employment working for pay and maintain valid certification throughout employment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing

Nice To Haves

  • Personal training or group fitness instruction experience, preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assume the responsibility of training members who are interested in working one-on-one with a fitness professional
  • Provide members with safe, results-oriented programming that matches their goals and fitness level
  • Conduct new member orientation pre-exercise biometrics and goal evaluations
  • Talk to members of the club about their goals and introduce them to our personal training programming
  • Advise members about important safety concerns and demonstrate exercises and proper form
  • Ensure client renewal through focused, positive, supportive coaching, follow up and programming
  • Keep accurate and detailed records of program progress
  • Maintain a minimum of 12 client hours weekly
