About The Position

The Personnel and Faculty Evaluations Analyst for the College of Liberal Arts serves as the prime contact for clarification, interpretation and guidance to department chairs, department and college committees, and department administrative support staff. The College of Liberal Arts (CLA) includes approximately 20 disciplines representing five broad areas of knowledge: the fine and performing arts, communications, the humanities, social sciences, and interdisciplinary studies. In addition to offering courses for its own majors, the CLA offers a significant portion of General Education classes, is home to the disciplines that form the scholarly bases for cultural awareness, knowledge, and skills, and provides activities that enhance the cultural and intellectual environment of the campus.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of policies, procedures, and outside regulations pertaining to the applicable program and/or administrative specialty.
  • Expertise in investigating and analyzing problems with a broad administrative impact and implications.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and address them proactively.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with a variety of computer applications including word-processing, spreadsheets (Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Forms), databases, on-line systems, Zoom, Internet, as well as online calendaring and email.
  • Demonstrated ability to use tact and diplomacy to effectively handle a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities, and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and/or equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university.
  • Three years of technical or administrative experience.
  • A graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for one year of the required experience.
  • Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

  • Serves as the prime contact for clarification, interpretation and guidance to department chairs, department and college committees, and department administrative support staff.
  • Provide lead work direction to department chairs and ASCs regarding the evaluation cycle and processes.
  • Effectively handle a broad range of high level and sensitive interpersonal situations with diverse personalities, and to respond appropriately to conflicts and problems.
