Pet Groomer Trainee
About The Position
At Aussie Pet Mobile, we care for the business so that you can focus on the pets! Focus on providing luxury one-on-one care to pups daily while working independently in our grooming vans. Enjoy the ongoing support of our in-house concierge and fleet teams that handle scheduling and van maintenance so you can groom. Our custom-designed mobile pet grooming vans come equipped with air conditioning, heating, electricity, and water—without needing external hookups. We prioritize eco-friendliness and provide a spacious, comfortable environment for pets to move freely, allowing groomers to focus on each pet’s needs. At Aussie Pet Mobile, we offer a 100% cage-free, one-on-one grooming experience—all in the convenience of our clients' driveways.
Requirements
- No degree is required
- Ability to lift and carry dogs up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods during grooming sessions
- Comfort working in a mobile grooming unit, which may involve limited space and frequent movement in and out of the vehicle
- Ability to learn how and execute safely restraining and handling dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and energy levels
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for grooming tasks such as clipping, scissoring, brushing, and nail trimming
- Ability to work in varying temperatures depending on weather and grooming van conditions
- Capability to drive and operate the mobile grooming vehicle, including navigating neighborhoods, parking, and stepping in/out multiple times per day
- Stamina to perform multiple grooming sessions per day, sometimes with large or heavy-coated breeds.
