Requirements

  • Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist upon hire
  • Upon Hire: National Positron Emission Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board --or-- National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology --or-- National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board --or-- National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography --or-- National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training: Additional CT training
  • 1 year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Previous CT experience

Responsibilities

  • Utilize radiopharmaceuticals as well as oral and IV contrast agents to perform a variety of diagnostic PET, PET/CT, and CT examinations.
  • Operate a multi‑slice CT scanner and power injector with proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Start IVs and administer various contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals at the direction of the physician.
  • Provide patient care services as needed in a professional, compassionate manner.
  • Participate in all daily duties necessary to perform high‑quality care and imaging exams.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service in all patient and team interactions.
  • Engage fully in a collaborative team framework while maintaining a positive approach and attitude.
  • Assume responsibility for designated duties or procedures as required and adhere to all safety standards in accordance with SMC policies and regulatory requirements.
