IMC is currently hiring a Patient Financial Services (PFS) Support II - Financial Counselor position. The Financial Counselor determines any/all co-payments and deductibles that are due from in-house’ patients and requests such payments from them prior to their discharge. Also determines any/all outstanding debts owed to hospital, and includes these amounts in requests for payment Including Cosmetic procedure processes and explanation of possible claim denial to patients. Secondary duties include giving estimates to patients, physician offices, etc. Following hospital policies and procedures, enters in Newborn Medicaid subscriber #’s and gets NB claims ready to bill, assists patients as they come in with billing issues or questions on accounts, assists patients with Medicaid applications as necessary backs up Cashier and Patient Account Rep as needed. Handles patient complaints in a timely manner as they are received.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent
  • 2-3 years previous hospital Business Office experience preferred
