Evaluates trends across denials, accounts receivable, and reimbursement outcomes to set workflow priorities and recommend and implement process, system, and policy improvements that support efficient service delivery models and maximization of reimbursement. The laboratory performs diagnostic testing as part of the clinical evaluation and treatment of patients referred from UCSF Medical Center and external facilities with a wide range of pulmonary diseases. These services also support select clinical research protocols conducted by Pulmonary attending physicians and provide training for medical students, residents, and Pulmonary fellows during their rotations on the Pulmonary Service at Moffitt-Long Hospitals. The CVRI Bronchoscopy Technician services support the procedural needs of the Lung Transplant, Interventional Pulmonology, and Adult Pulmonary Consult Services. These services enable physicians to diagnose and manage conditions such as infection, lung cancer, lung transplant rejection, and other urgent diagnostic or therapeutic needs. Bronchoscopy Services ensure procedural readiness by coordinating specialized equipment, supporting clinical workflows, and facilitating safe and efficient bronchoscopy procedures across inpatient and outpatient settings.
