The PGY2 pharmacy residency program provides the resident with opportunities to function independently as a practitioner by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings. Residents will be prepared enter a practice position in an acute care setting, eligible for board certification. Residents will provide pharmacy services in assigned patient care areas and ensure all medication related patient and care provider needs are met. Work proactively as a member of a team(s) to ensure the provision of optimal pharmaceutical care. Demonstrate a dedication to continual and constant quality improvement according to professional standards and practices.
