About The Position

The purpose of this position is to ensure pharmacy operations at a facility clinical practice and patient care across Intermountain Health. The supervisor works as a frontline caregiver while supporting their team. This position supervises a team of pharmacy caregivers while supporting pharmacy leadership in directing technical and operational functions of the pharmacy. The supervisor is provides leadership, education, training, and guidance for pharmacy caregivers. The supervisor also may participate in the hiring, onboarding, scheduling, evaluation, and performance management of pharmacy caregivers. The shifts for this position will be Monday - Friday days shifts. May include time outside of this standard depending on department needs. Essential Functions Supervises pharmacy caregivers and to ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations pertaining to the area of focus. Collaborates with local pharmacy leadership to evaluate needs of the department while supporting enterprise pharmacy leadership and enterprise lead initiatives. Promotes pharmacy practice. Ensures that caregivers are working at the top of their licensure. Engages with leaders and team to improve and optimize operational and clinical outcomes. Act as a resource in the daily operations and activities of the department. Coordinates training and onboarding of new caregivers. Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines, departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Help to establish quality measures and key performance indicators to improve the operation of the pharmacy and care of the patient. Responsible for caregiver engagement for the team. Responsible for human resource functions associated with the team.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
  • License to practice pharmacy in a state in which Intermountain Health operates or eligibility to obtain a license upon hire.
  • Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
