About The Position
Under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager and/or Director, the Pharmacy Buyer is responsible for the management of the pharmaceutical supply chain prior to the dispensing and administration to patients. The Pharmacy Buyer manages the pharmaceutical inventory stock utilizing historical usage data, packaging strategy, formulary status and availability. The Pharmacy Buyer may also perform in the role of Pharmacy Technician during period of census fluctuation and/or staffing shortages.
Requirements
- High School or GED
- MS Registered Pharmacy Technician and Certified Pharmacy Technician (CphT)
- Three (3) years as a pharmacy technician is required.
- Must demonstrate strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel software.
- One year experience working with 340B rules and regulations
Nice To Haves
- Some post-secondary education is preferred.
- Hospital pharmacy experience is strongly preferred.
