Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring a PRN/Flexi Clinical Pharmacist Intern for the Inpatient Pharmacy in Norfolk, VA. Location: Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, VA Status: Flexi/PRN Shift: Rotating (10 hour Weekend Shifts) Hours: 6am-11pm (occasional overnights) Weekends: One Weekend a Month The Clinical Pharmacist Intern is r esponsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient-focused, and cost-efficient drug therapy. Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff-approved clinical practice standards under the direction of a pharmacist. Serves as the primary resource for drug information within the hospital and assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders under the direction of a pharmacist. R emote project work once fully trained onsite in IV room with sterile compounding. Sentara Norfolk General Hospital , located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
