What you’ll do: Under the supervision and direction of a licensed pharmacist, the intern’s primary responsibility will be obtaining medication histories for patients admitted to St. Cloud Hospital. First year interns have the opportunity to complete Medication Reconciliation. May be assigned to assist with various clinical projects, which can be tailored to an area of interest. Other duties may include but are not limited to: preparing and/or verifying preparation of unit dose medications, preparing non-sterile compounded products, and assisting in inventory management. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers and others. Patients of all ages are served. Supports and implements patient safety and other safety practices as appropriate. Supports and demonstrates Family Centered Care principles when interacting with patients and their families and with co-workers. Schedule Causal position | Around 80 hours per two weeks during the summer | Average 4-8 hours per pay period during school year Days generally 7:30am-4pm, evenings generally 12:30pm-9pm. Every 3rd weekend in summer. Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy program and has successfully completed the first professional year in a pharmacy program.
  • Licensed as a pharmacist-intern with the MN Board of Pharmacy.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a pharmacy technician/intern is preferred, but not required.
