The Pharmacist Resident 2nd year is an active participant in an intensive 12 month post-graduate year two (PGY2) training program to develop extensive knowledge and clinical skills used to provide effective pharmaceutical care. The pharmacist resident functions as a clinical pharmacist, participating in clinical, operational, and administrative activities designed to assist in applying formal theoretical education and research to clinical patient situations. The resident is responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, and eligible for board certification.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) approved school of pharmacy with a BS, MS, or Pharm D degree, including didactic courses and experiential rotations in the clinical aspects of pharmaceutical care
  • Active Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which the employee works within 90 days of hire into position
  • Successful completion of a First year residency program (PGY1)
  • BLS-CPR certification from the American Heart Association
