Purpose of this position: To assist pharmacists in preparing unit dose medications and assist with the delivery of medications to our care communities and other customers. Essential Job Functions: 1. Demonstrate Professionalism – · Adhere to predetermined work dates and times. · Attend monthly mandatory in-services, when applicable. · Complete assignments in a timely manner as assigned. · Work cooperatively with other employees. · Consistently professional in appearance. On-going 2. Adhere to company policies and procedures – · Maintain confidentiality of resident information following HIPAA regulations. · Follow Universal Precautions & observe infection control policies. · Follow resident rights policies at all times. On-going 3. Essential Functions – · Fill for unit does blister card system and/or retail prescriptions under supervision. · Assist in management of perpetual inventory. · Delivery of medications to nursing units and to off-site customer care communities when needed. May be required to use personal vehicle for deliveries. · Data entry and filing as needed. · Stock daily drug orders. · Answer telephones. · Maintain drug order database daily and send over via internet. 80% 4. All other duties as assigned 20% Regular scheduled attendance is required. To assist pharmacists in preparing unit dose medications and assist with the delivery of medications to our care communities and other customers. FULLTIME, weekdays. Must be a certified pharmacy technician in the State of NE (or technician in good standing working towards certification). Prefer experience with Qs/1 software preferred High school diploma or equivalent and able to provide proof of graduation. Must be at least 18 years of age. Must never have been convicted of any drug-related misdemeanor or felony.
