Pharmacy Tech - PRN Weekends (1796)
About The Position
Fills and delivers physician orders, Pyxis, departmental requisitions, and special orders accurately Replenishes medications in emergency drug containers, crash carts, kits and floor stock accurately Prepares intravenous admixtures and other sterile preparations safely and accurately using appropriate technique Fills narcotics for patient care areas and maintain records as required by law Delivers medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas accurately per established schedule Assists in ordering, receiving, unpacking, and storing medications and supplies in appropriate locations Rotates stock to ensure use before expiration date Identifies and replaces outdated and unusable medications Restocks medication and IV dispensing areas accurately within specified time periods Repackages bulk medications in unit-dose packages safely and accurately per established procedures using appropriate techniques Shift PRN Weekends Every Other Saturday and Sunday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Registration by the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy.
- Two-to three-years pharmacy technician experience in a health-system preferred, but not required.
Nice To Haves
- College courses desirable but not required.
- Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board preferred, but not required.
