From emergent to elective, our facility offers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including those offered at the New Beginnings Birthing Center, the Advanced Healing Wound Care Center and our accredited chest pain center. The Pharmacy Technician provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or the equivalent required.
  • Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year related pharmacy experience and/or training or graduate of certified training program/healthcare careers college preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems.
  • Fills medication carts on a daily basis.
  • Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department.
  • Repackages bulk medications.
