About The Position

The Pharmacy Technician at the Central Fulfillment Center is responsible for working in a closed-door, fast paced pharmacy facility on a production line. They are responsible for filling prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The Pharmacy Technician will work with prescription filling automation technologies and semi-manual/manual workstations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of orders and maintain a continuous and consistent workflow to help meet team goals. The position is based in Phoenix, AZ. The shift arrangement is typically a 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime to be expected. The technicians work on 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM or on 2nd shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Pharmacy Technician License in the Central Fill home state
  • Ability to preserve confidentiality of patient information

Responsibilities

  • Follow and promote proper Pharmacy, general safety and security procedures and processes of the company
  • Use scanning and counting technologies to identify and select appropriate pharmaceutical products and quantities for filling prescription orders
  • Ensuring medication counting devices are continuously replenished
  • Assist with maintaining the pharmacy system and technologies that facilitate proper counting, conveyance, packaging, and shipping of prescriptions
  • Monitoring inventory and supply levels at the responsible stations, calibrating machines, general troubleshooting (jams, blockages) within conveyance, counting, and packaging machines, escalating technical issues, and working as a team to reach team goals
  • Monitoring and maintaining uptime of automated counting, collating, packaging, and sorting devices, ensuring continuous operation through basic troubleshooting of routine errors
  • Create and maintain documentation as requested
  • Manually fill prescriptions as needed
  • Verify attributes of the product such as: size, strength, quantity, etc. before processing orders. Enter or scan expiration date and lot numbers
  • Ensure labels on prescriptions are correct
  • Prepare packages, sort, and manifest prescription orders if needed
  • Stock and rotate merchandise and supplies to limit shrinkage if needed
  • Assist Inventory Technicians as requested. Participate in Inventory Audits as needed
  • Other duties as assigned concurrent with all applicable laws and regulations
