We are currently seeking a Certified Pharmacy Technician to contribute to our mission by performing essential duties, including: Supporting the patient care team in medication dispensing. Restocking clinical unit automated medication dispensing stations by visiting assigned patients. Preparing I.V. antibiotics and compounding admixtures under the direction of the pharmacist. Delivering medications to patient units and other Winchester Hospital locations that are not stocked in the automated medication dispensing stations. Assisting pharmacists in responding to phone calls from clinicians regarding patient medication requests. Replacing Pyxis station narcotic stock on patient care units daily and obtaining proper sign-off from clinicians. Assembling code cart trays with required medications and returning them promptly to specific patient units. Preparing pre-packaged stock medications, creams, and ointments into individual doses for patient distribution. Ideal candidates will possess: A high school diploma or G.E.D. Pharmacy Technician National Certification and Pharmacy Technician registration. Preferred: At least one year of experience as a certified pharmacy technician and familiarity with the Pyxis automated medication system. Pay Range: $22.68 - $30.52 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law. Requirements
