The pharmacy technician prepares and provides clinical support services necessary for the dispensing of injectable and oral medications used to support our core business offerings. Responsibilities include: Sterile preparation of IV / infused medications under the direction of the pharmacist and in compliance with current regulations and standards. Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy (BOP) regulations. Maintains call and shipment schedules to ensure continuity of care for all patients. Collects, documents, disseminates and coordinates customer communications, laboratory data and various clinical information with pharmacy, nursing and reimbursement staff. Performs efficient data entry of pertinent patient and prescription information into company’s pharmacy software system, as allowed by BOP regulations. Performs all cleaning and maintenance of the pharmacy clean room in accordance with company policy and state BOP regulations. Participates in company’s quality assurance and performance improvement program. Remains current with the BOP continuing education requirements, and completes Soleo’s annual re-credentialing process. Performs receiving and storage of medications and supplies from vendors. Performs the picking/packaging of supplies and medications for shipment to the customer home. Participates in regularly scheduled inventory counts and complies with Soleo’s formulary management program. Obtains additional state technical licensure/registration as requested to support the geographic service area of the branch. Schedule: Must be able to work Full-time, Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm- 40 hours per week Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation as needed Must have on the job work experience and knowledge of IV compounding medications to include: Antibiotics, TPN, IVIG, etc. Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia

Requirements

High school diploma (or equivalent) required
Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT), or as required by the BOP
Minimum experience working as a technician in the pharmacy IV room of a hospital
Must have on the job work experience and knowledge of IV compounding medications to include: Antibiotics, TPN, IVIG, etc.
Must be a licensed Pharmacy Technician in the state of Georgia
Current registration and ACPE requirements are met
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent sterile compounding technique
Basic to intermediate efficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook

Nice To Haves

Prior technician experience with a home infusion company preferred
PTCB/NHA Certification preferred
