Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years Pharmacy Technician experience, 1 of which in a supervisory capacity
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the State Board of Pharmacy
  • Knowledge of brand name/generic drug names
  • Knowledge of SIG codes
  • Strong knowledge of Pharmacy Operations

Nice To Haves

  • PTCB license, a plus

Responsibilities

  • Daily management and scheduling of the Pharmacy Technicians
  • Help to establish, coordinate, and maintain daily work functions
  • Oversee job performance of technical personnel in accordance with established standards
  • Assures the competency of technical staff, when needed assist in performance improvement
  • Aid in the screening, selection, hiring, and orientation process for new staff
  • Provide ongoing staff support and development for the department
