About The Position

As a part time, nonexempt, Pharmacy Technician at Old Vineyard Behavioral Health you will assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist. The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing. You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements. Schedule: This position is scheduled to work three weekends a month both Saturday and Sunday, from 8:00AM to 2:30PM and provide additional coverage as needed and as available. About the Facility: Old Vineyard Behavioral Health facility is a 162 bed acute inpatient psychiatric facility servicing adult, geriatric & adolescent patients. The facility is located on a beautiful, spacious campus in Winston-Salem, provides intensive and individualized treatment to help adolescents and adults, providing a relaxing and comforting environment for patients, families, and staff. Old Vineyard’s specially trained staff, including psychiatrists, licensed therapists, psychologists, 24-hour nurses and BA/BS direct-care counselors, are committed to serving each patient with compassion and quality care. About the Pharmacy: The Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00AM to 4:30PM; Saturday and Sunday from 8:00AM to 2:30PM. This facility utilizes Omnicell automated dispensing cabinets.
