About The Position

The Supervisor, Photo Production will provide critical support to the Director of Photo Production and serve as a key liaison across Versant’s portfolio of networks and brands. This role helps ensure that all photo assets—from on-set photography to gallery/studio shoots — are produced, organized, and delivered to meet the needs of Communications, Marketing, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate knows photography, is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced media environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Photography, media, journalism or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of experience in photo production or related field (internships included).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Bridge, Lightroom, and Camera Raw. Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, Slack and asset management tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  • Passion for entertainment, media, and visual storytelling.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Photo Production - Manager photographic coverage for series, events, sports programing, news shows, and specials. Read scripts, call sheets and production schedules and help select best days of episodic coverage. Coordinate with Communications and Marketing teams to ensure timely delivery of photo assets to press, digital, social, and promotional partners.
  • Edit, retouch, color grade images from all programing, events and special.
  • Manage photo requests across the Versant portfolio, ensuring brand consistency and quality standards are upheld.
  • Oversee asset management, file organization, file naming, captioning, metadata, and distribution via internal database and external press site.
  • Assist with vendor management, including photographers, retouchers, and production crews.
  • Handle budgeting and invoicing processes, including tracking expenses and processing payments.
  • Maintain calendars, production schedules, and status reports for active and upcoming projects.
  • Provide on-set support for photo shoots, including logistics, call sheets, and talent coordination.
  • Manage talent approvals – communicate with talent reps and directly with talent.
  • Contribute to process improvements to streamline workflows between creative, communications, and marketing teams.
