About The Position

The Physical Security Specialist II is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and monitoring of physical security systems and protocols. This role supports the implementation of programs designed to protect company assets and ensures that security standards are consistently met across facilities. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with hands-on technical experience who can execute security tasks with precision and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Management Information Systems, Computer Science.
  • Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of integrated security systems and how they interface with corporate networks.
  • Standards: Basic understanding of risk assessment methodologies and information security frameworks such as ISO 27001.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, respond to on-call incidents, and travel to various sites as required.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in physical security, information security, or a related technical operations role.
  • Operational Excellence: High attention to detail in monitoring and reporting.
  • Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for reporting and inter-departmental coordination.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to identify system glitches or security gaps and escalate them appropriately.
  • Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data tracking and reporting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware (cameras, card readers) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • System Operations: Operate and perform routine health checks on physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance (CCTV), and visitor management platforms.
  • Protocol Execution: Implement and follow established security protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and emergency response plans.
  • Risk Support: Assist in conducting physical security risk assessments and site evaluations to identify vulnerabilities and document findings.
  • Incident Monitoring: Monitor security alerts, support investigations into security incidents, and prepare initial incident reports for management review.
  • Vendor Coordination: Support the management of third-party security providers by monitoring their daily performance and ensuring compliance with contract terms.
  • Audit Assistance: Help coordinate responses to internal and external audits by gathering required documentation and facilitating site access for auditors.
  • Training Support: Assist in the delivery of security awareness campaigns and training materials to educate employees on security best practices.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of security logs, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
