About The Position

We are actively looking to add a skilled and experienced Physical Security Specialist to assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) with the oversight and management of physical security operations in classified and unclassified environments. This role will include the responsibility of ensuring compliance with NISPOM, NIST, DoD, and customer security requirements in the protection of classified, unclassified, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). This role will also be required to assist in maintaining secure facilities and other controlled areas.

Requirements

  • Current secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance.
  • Military, government, or industrial security background.
  • Must have experience overseeing and/or managing classified environments.
  • Must have strong leadership, organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in classified environments.
  • A/S or B/S Degree or a combination of education and job specific experience.
  • Degree requirement may be waived with a minimum of 5 years of job specific experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day physical security operations for classified and unclassified TRISTAR facilities.
  • Oversee the construction of classified spaces.
  • Ensure compliance with NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117), DoDM 5200.01, NIST, and customer-specific security requirements.
  • Assist the FSO with the development, implementation, and maintenance of physical security plans, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Oversee access control systems, intrusion detection systems (IDS), CCTV, alarms, and visitor control procedures.
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and produce corrective action plans when required.
  • Generate training materials and provide training to TRISTAR employees, subcontractors, and government customers on physical security procedures and best practices.
  • Manage classified material storage, safeguarding, security records, and documentation for secure facilities and controlled areas.
  • Ensure classified items are properly received, transported, inventoried, and overall maintained.
