About The Position
Provides physical therapy treatment under the direction of a Registered Physical Therapist. Provides patient/family education, completes documentation of patient treatments, charges, and other information as needed.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree - Graduate of APTA (Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program).
- No previous experience required.
- LPTA- LIC PHY THERAPY ASSISTANT (Licensure by S. C. Board of Physical Therapy).
- CPR certification.
- Patient Equip (Vitals, Suction, Defib) experience.
- Knowledge of standard PT equipment.
Responsibilities
- Implements and manages a specific and comprehensive treatment plan.
- Complies with departmental policies for documentation.
- Participates in patient discharge preparations.
- Actively participates in patient and family education process.
- Productivity
- Provides oversight to PTA students and Technical Assistants as assigned.
