About The Position

The Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Physical Therapist is responsible for delivering comprehensive, patient‑centered rehabilitative care to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgical intervention. This role includes performing detailed assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence‑based therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring mobility, reducing pain, improving strength, and optimizing functional independence. The therapist builds trust and collaboration with patients, families/support systems, and interdisciplinary care teams through skilled clinical judgment, compassionate communication, and continuous monitoring of patient progress. This position ensures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and safety standards, to uphold the highest quality of care. The therapist additionally provides clinical supervision to physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation aides, and may serve as a clinical instructor for students, supporting ongoing professional development within the department.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program OR graduate of an accredited physical therapy program that can be demonstrated with a valid PT license
  • PT-Physical Therapist OR Will also consider approved license applicant or resident training program employee.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience.
  • Critical thinking, complex problems solving, decisive judgement and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Must be able to work in demanding work environment, organize multiple priorities completing work duties within expected timelines and requirements.
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
  • Demonstrates effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service and community relations abilities.
  • Able to retain and apply new knowledge & skills.
  • Keeps abreast of professional practice development and advancement.
