Responsible for providing a broad range of physical therapy services in an interdisciplinary setting, including assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions in accordance with the position's qualifications, professional practices, and ethical standards. Ensures and provides development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary manner. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Performs initial examinations and differential diagnosis. 2. Provides and prescribes plans of care consisting of corrective therapeutic exercise. 3. Performs manual treatments consisting of soft tissue techniques, joint mobilizations, and many more. 4. Supervises and interacts with support staff and maintain proper documentation. 5. Evaluates and establishes a plan of care and treats patients accordingly. 6. Documents patient care and charges appropriately, and documents the course of patient care, including progress made and the ongoing need for treatment. 7. Works with other professionals in an effective manner 8. Provides clinically appropriate therapeutic interventions. 9. Evaluates patient response to treatment and provides feedback to the interdisciplinary team. 10. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Level I - 0-3 years of prior experience - HS Diploma or equivalent. Specific Certification related to position or Associates Degree/Technical Degree in related field. Responsible for accurately and responsively performing varied clinical tasks and problems of minimal complexity. Works under the supervision of more experienced lab/diagnostic staff and/or patient-facing staff. Makes decisions regarding own work, often limited and confined to routine matters. No leadership responsibility Level II - 3-5 years of prior experience - HS Diploma or equivalent. Specific Certification related to position or Associates Degree/Technical Degree in related field. All licenses and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required. Performs moderately complex clinical activities and/or leads patient care activities. Makes decisions regarding own work methods, frequently in ambiguous situations. Work is guided by previous experience, quality and service standards, and direction from clinician. Regularly models/mentors and trains junior staff on technical skills. Serves as technical specialist on daily tasks and cases. Level III - 5+ years of prior experience - All licenses and certifications needed to fulfill the duties required of a Technician at the state (s) and/or national level. Works on problems of diverse scope and advanced complexity. Exercises independent judgement on moderately to substantially complex cases. Requires little instruction on day to day work and general direction on more complex tasks and projects. Regularly trains staff on technical skills.
