About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehab Lakeway, Texas Physical Therapist - Inpatient PRN Hours vary: Monday - Friday availability Must be available for two weekend day shifts a month PRN Rate: $60 /hr Seeking a PRN Physical Therapist to join our growing multi-disciplinary team in our IPR settings. This is a PRN PT position at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Lakeway. The position will cover our inpatient rehab unit and includes the requirement of working a minimum of two days per month on high need days. The candidate will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to treat medically complex patients that include stroke, brain injury, SCI and other acquired neuro diagnosis and co-morbidities. We are seeking a candidate with strong neurological rehab skills who works well in a team setting. We are open to recent but not new graduates with previous Rehab or Acute hospital experience with cognitive rehab, brain injury and stroke.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
• No new grads.

Nice To Haves

• Acute or IPR experience preferred
• Previous experience with the adult Neuro population

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
• Ensures the design of functional and patient-centered treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community, vocational or academic activities.
• Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
• Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
• Evaluate the patient's level of functioning and develop an individualized treatment plan aligned with patient and family goals.
• Participates in discharge planning including, patient and family education, and recommendation of DME, community mobility as able.
• IPR- Inpatient rehabilitation Hospital- minimum of 2 weekend days per month are required/ 24 shifts per year minimum.
