About The Position

Come join our dynamic Therapy & Sports Performance family! SIGN-ON BONUS Available if eligible This position is located in Little Rock at The Orthopedic and Spine Hospital (TOSH) and will be integral in treating a general PT population to include orthopaedic and spine conditions. We value mentorships, continuing education, and a healthy caseload to provide individualized care as appropriate. The outpatient physical therapist provides an individualized evaluation, during which the client, family/caregiver, and physical therapist determine the patient's goals, customize interventions to optimize the person's ability to perform functional activities, and continuously assess progress towards goals to ensure goals are being met and/or to modify the intervention plan based on the patient's needs and skills. Functional outcomes data is completed through collection of best practice data via patient questionnaires, performance measures, and documented treatment interventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure
  • Intermediate Computer Skills

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience in Physical Therapy
  • OCS, CSCS, DN Certified

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.
  • Provides evidence based quality patient treatments and monitors patient for physiological status during sessions.
  • Provides individualized patient education.
  • Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and education sessions and submits accurate charges according to regulatory policies.
  • Provides education regarding physical therapy discipline.
  • Serves as a clinical instructor/mentor and provides education to other disciplines within UAMS and/or the community.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary and department communication, including patient care discussions and/or meetings and unit/department/hospital meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
