The Cleveland Clinic Rehab and Sports Therapy Department has an opportunity for an Experienced Sports/Orthopaedic Physical Therapist, or Post Orthopedic/ Sport PT residency graduate. Elevate your Physical Therapy career by joining a dynamic team who have a close relationship with our Orthopaedic Surgeons and sports medicine team. As a Physical Therapist in this exciting department, you will utilize various exercises to help patients increase strength, range of motion, endurance and coordination. Because this position requires close interaction, you have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both patients and their families. Often, your patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is important. Ultimately, your unconditional support and reassurance can drive them to work hard and regain their health. A caregiver in this role will work full-time from 7:00am to 7:00pm.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or certificate
  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a clinical area
  • 3 years' experience as an Outpatient Physical Therapist in Orthopaedics and/or Sports Medicine specialty
  • APTA Board Certified Sports/Orthopaedic Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient condition.
  • Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care appropriate to problems identified and involve the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
  • Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
  • Supervise activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, students and other support personnel.
