About The Position

Physical Therapy Assistant Instructor PRN FranU Baton Rouge, L a Primary responsibility for faculty focuses on providing instruction and an effective environment for student learning, service and scholarship in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Academic Prepares instruction that reflects stated course student learning outcomes Construct classroom materials that support the goals of the course Prepare thoroughly for each instructional hour; Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance, post grades in a timely manner Teaching Implements curricular and instructional interventions Develops student learning outcomes Utilizes peer review and coaching Applies what has been learned from formative and summative feedback on instruction Engages in professional development activities to promote development in the scholarship of teaching and learning Advising Reflects on summative students’ evaluation of academic advising experience Assesses reports and perceptions of peers and others regarding fidelity to academic advising roles and responsibilities Contribution to role-related knowledge base Presents at local, state, national and/or international professional conferences Professional Service Participates in local, state, national, or international professional agencies Community Service Actively participates in community groups and organizations, as related to the College’s mission Institutional Service Participates in committee work at the program, school, or institutional level (delineate roles and nature of participation) Student Engagement Advises students through feedback, coaching, remediation, and engagement Other Duties as Assigned Other duties as assigned or required

Requirements

One (1) year or equivalent, full-time, post licensure, clinical experience
Physical Therapist Assistant or Physical Therapist with Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Unencumbered license in Louisiana State license as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant

Responsibilities
