About The Position

Harrison County Hospital is seeking to hire a Physical Therapy Assistant. Position available: PRN, Monday-Saturday, as needed The role of the Physical Therapy Assistant is to assess, plan, and implement patient/family/caregiver physical therapy needs and treatments for patients aged neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18), adult (18-65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years); and maintain documentation on services provided to patient/family/caregiver. Addresses educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and departmental operations; acts in a clinical leadership role; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions. Requirements

  • Associate Degree from an accredited program in Physical Therapy Assistants
  • Passing of the National Physical Therapy Examination for Physical Therapy Assistants
  • License to practice in the state of Indiana
  • Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy from accredited program
  • Standard therapy modalities as listed in specific disciplines procedures
  • New graduates and experienced Therapy Assistants accepted
