Visas Accepted H1B or J1 Specialty Anesthesiology Practice Details Marshfield Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Anesthesiologist to join an established Department of Anesthesia. The ideal candidate will provide Anesthesia coverage, including medical direction to CRNAs, regional anesthesia, OB, and invasive monitoring. Support surgical services at a level II trauma center in a rural setting, all cases except for transplants. Pediatric and cardiac cases are covered by fellowship-trained anesthesiologists. - Annual compensation of at least $530k (varies by practice) if you complete the required number of shifts for 1.0 FTE - In addition, up to $150k retention incentive if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 5 years (this will be subject to a contractual agreement, specifying all details) - 188 working days/year - CME annual allowance - Health, Dental, Life, Disability, and Occurrence-Based Malpractice insurance - Relocation support MCHS strongly encourages our physicians to be involved in medical education and research to continue building our strong foundation of patient care, research and education for years to come. Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree.
• Experience can be demonstrated in one of the following ways: An applicant who has just completed a fellowship shall provide his/her fellowship log. OR An applicant who is not applying directly out of a residency shall provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing his/her clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed morbidity, mortality, infection rates and other complications. The applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in at least 200 Anesthesia cases in the last 24 months. OR If a quality profile is not available from the hospital(s) where the applicant currently has privileges, documentation of the applicant’s hospital-based clinical activity for the past 24 months is required. The applicant must be able to demonstrate active involvement in at least 200 Anesthesia cases in the last 24 months.
• Successful completion of a hospital affiliated residency/fellowship of at least 3-4 years’ duration in Anesthesia accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency.
• Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable. Those applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their residency training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless appropriate governing Board waives such requirement.
